Would you risk skin cancer to avoid breast cancer?
Studies have shown that utilizing a tanning salon lowers the risk of breast cancer. It also states that the chance of breast cancer in a person is great than the possible risk of getting skin cancer by going to a tanning salon.

answer: enlispeld time: 2012-02-22 19:57:03AIDS was present before the 80s, but medical professionals didn't know very much about it, and there wasn't a lot of published information about it. Once researchers began to isolate the virus and document the effects, more information was published, which is why it started appearing in some written sources at that point. After this, it still took a while to do enough epidemiological research to realize that the spread of AIDS was on track to reach epidemic proportions, at which point the AIDS crisis began. This really ramped up the amount of written information being published for the general public.
It's difficult to know exactly when HIV or AIDS first became present in humans, since it was first found most commonly in countries with little access to healthcare or research. However, it was definitely present by the 70s.
I have seen a documentary saying that there were a few cases just a very few that could have been AID's but weren't documented properly back in the 50's so there is no way of definitively saying Yes this was the AID's virus. I have also read that since the drought that was going on in Africa in the 80's people were resorting to find alternate food sources and the green monkey was one of those food sources. The green monkey suffers from similar auto-immune disease. Since we have almost 99% the same DNA make up as these monkeys it is possible to consume this monkey and acquire the disease in humans if the monkey carries it.I have also read that they were able to pinpoint ground zero( so to speak ) of this disease to a danish man who worked on the cruises ships and was a very promiscuous gay man who had lovers in every port. Even when they finally were able to confront him with the possibility of disease he was outwardly healthy at the time and continued his promiscuous ways and continued unprotected sex. This is why it showed first heavily in the gay population. By the way in Africa which suffers the highest amount of AID's sufferers it is a heterosexual disease. At that time it was not so easily detected and most gay men continued having unsafe sex which soon began to devastate the gay population. People panicked and were terrified to even come into casual contact with someone they thought might "give" them AID's. I worked in the medical profession at the time as a medical assistant and I can't tell you the fear in that profession even from the doctor's. Today Aid's is now most prevalent in the 18 to 25 age group. This is because they are too young to know of the fear concerning this disease and they do have drug cocktails that can keep you alive for years now. Also parents still insist on refusing Sex Education in schools and help their kids run the risk of getting STD's because they are denying that their kids engage in sex and therefore do not need this sort of knowledge. That's just plain bull c- - p. Today's STD's just don't go away with a little antibiotic pill today's diseases kill you. All the more reason to give your child as much sex education you can whether it be by speaking to them and if you can't do that give them books explaining every thing down to the brass tacks. I know I gave my daughter all the information necessary to stay healthy. She was a teen in the late eighties and it was absolutely necessary in my eyes, I hope teens wake up and stop thinking it will never happen to me because I have seen enough Maury shows to see there are still thousands of teens not thinking about the consequences at all. Too Bad. Today ,if a patient has AID's and they come in to be treated by a medical doctor they are not obliged by law to even tell you they suffer from the disease so you have to be ultra careful about each and every patient you treat. Also surgeons do not have to divulge they have the disease. Think about it a surgeon who is operating and could nick himself while operating and deposit the disease deep tissue. I have had to attend seminars over the years concerning AID's and it's treatment due to working in the medical profession. I hope I have been able to answer aleast some of your questions.

They were trying to get rid of people who live in poverty. Same time crack came around and hit hard affecting people who lived in poverty. It was population control and they thought they would get rid of people no one missed.
answer: To know you is hard, we wonder? time: 2011-01-07 06:20:24You are asking great questions! The virus probably existed long before the 80's, and people died from it (or more accurately, they died due to illnesses they could not fight off because their immune system was damaged) but because the causes of death were all different illnesses, no connection was made. Also, HIV and AIDS were not given names until the 80's. In fact, since HIV was first seen as a gay man's disease, it was first called GRIDS, which I believe stood for Gay Related Immuno Deficiency Syndrome. No one realized at first why gay men were at risk (high risk of bleeding during anal sex) , and that there were other risk factors.
BTW: I will be 37 next month, and I think I first heard about HIV and AIDS when I saw the first broadcast of the movie An Early Frost, which I think occurred in about 1985. At that time, I think that the only recognized risk factor was being a gay man.
