My orthodontist shaved my bottom teeth too much... how can he tell if they will look great?

I want a perfect smile, thus I paid over $4K. However, I'm really upset because he shaved my bottom teeth got get tiny gaps, where the gums haven't grown in enough, to close. However, on one tooth, my right one closest to my caning on the bottom, looks lonely with the huge gaps on either side of it. The problems is that my teeth on the left needed to shift left more (one tooth was dead center and needed to move left). Why would he shave my teeth on the right? The left teeth moving left would have given my right teeth more room. Help! I don't want an f-ed up smile especially considering how much I paid. How can my orthodontist fix this?
