I burnt my arm with a realy hot adapter the other day (thursday),.... I was moving my chameleon's cage and it burnt me,it got real red and had a blister,i popped it and it was sore for a few days. Today it looked dry and it started itching, the scab rubbed of by my sweater(i didnt scratch,) it bled some do you think its infected? Its not pussing or warm or anything, just sore where the scab used to be. Thanx. Anything i can do to make it heal faster?

answer: Patricia C time: 2010-07-13 13:51:13I've never tried it for sciatica, but I had it for a tendon that had lost its elasticity - very painful, but it worked, and for cystitis (along with a revamp of my diet). I have found acupuncture to be very helpful, but be warned - either use public transport to get home, or get someone to drive you, because after acupuncture you will want to lie down and sleep - it's the body's own healing process kicking in.

answer: Curious George, C.Ac time: 2010-07-13 06:51:13Too Bad! You got one of those idiot chiropractors who wants to sign you up for 83 treatements! It's some weird scam that some of those guys do. But all chiropractors aren't that way - the one I have just treats you and kicks you out - $35. He's saved my butt over and over again for different things, but sciatica had to be the WORST pain I ever took in there.
I've also tried acupuncture - and studied it in school... yes - sometimes works. It's so hard to say with these alternative things - and it's quite expensive too. You could try it once or twice - but don't get suckered into some long "commitments" with these guys. If they can't affect it in one or two treatments, then look elsewhere.
Finally - and Sadly - it isn't acupuncture or chiropractory which makes the difference - it's the guy doing it. If the guy knows his stuff, the pain reduces - if they are just screwing around, they can cost you all sorts of money for nothing! But how can you tell the difference? That's the trouble.
Good luck!
