Help, Question about my body shape changing?
Okay so I just recently turned 13 if that helps. I have noticed some of my pants getting to tight on me, Myy shirts are all fine (if not too big?). I checked my weight and have not gained anything from the last time I have checked.. I have not gone up or down a pound for 3 months. Is this normal? My body shape is changing. Also is your awkward stage when your body starts changing?

Tell her one in four people in america have HPV and you wanna be one less! lol No but it's serious.. Tell her too many people have it and since guys can't be tested for it you would rather be careful yourself..

If you can, talk to your school counselor and see if they can give you a brochure on HPV then show it to your mom saying a visitor came to school and strongly suggested you get it and you think it would be a good thing to do. If this doesn't work, just tell her.

Each state has some restrictions due to the virus...in many states you have to pay for the vaccine...it is not always covered 100% under your family health insurance. In some states Planned Parenthood gives to vaccine at a discount cost. You may want to call them an ask if they give the vaccine and what the cost would be for you.

You can receive the vaccine after you have engaged in sex and you can receive the vaccine even if you have been diagnosed with genital HPV. The vaccine is less effective if given after you become sexually active...another plus in receiving the vaccine now.
Gardasil prevents 4 genital HPV types and Cervarix prevents two high risk HPV types. The vaccine does not prevent all 40 genital HPV types.
The two FDA approved vaccines are good idea's...but both do have side effects...maybe your mother has read about some of these...try to do a bit of research regarding the vaccine...being informed is always best.
Half the sexually active populations has an HPV type. It is a common STI. Condoms do not prevent the transmission but they do help.
To my knowledge, if you've ever had sex, you're not supposed to get the shot anyway.
I wouldn't mention the reason you want the shot is so you can have sex with this guy.
im 12 and ive gone through the whole series of gardisil shots already i think a 16 year old should be able to get them just tell your mom u just want to be safe
