He he .. sorry.. couldnt resist!
It appears you have been bitten? Is there any swelling? The thing that concerns me is the length of the red mark.. That means a SERIOUS infection of the vein nearby. I was bitten by a kitten one time on the wrist.. by the next morning I had a red streak up my arm.. The doctor said if I had waited to come to the ER.. I would have been ADMITTED for days. Then again.. thats IF this mark is not a reaction to the pathology of your situation and part of the issue itself.. who knows..
You can use hydrocortisone.. but if thats not working...GO TO THE DOCTOR. Forget Yahoo Answers.. This is NOT something you want to play with. If its a parasite it could be benign or it could be BAD for you. Ringworm and other stuff is easy to get. Onlly a doctor knows for sure.. But it kinda sounds like ringworm.. hard to tell with no pictures.. Look Ringworm up and see if its similar.
Good luck to you and hope you feel better!
See your health care provider as soon as possible (dermatologist) or primary care doctor. Apply something cold, such as ice or cold packs, promptly. Delay in cold applications results in a more severe local reaction. Acetaminophen or other pain relievers may be used. Antihistamines, such as chlor-pheniramine or diphenhydramine, can be helpful in relieving the itch somewhat. If the reaction is severe or if pain doesn't diminish in 48 hours, consult the doctor by telephone.
I hope this helps you. And good luck.
Gosh! See a doc! Haven't you heard of crappy things like the brown recluse spider? :O

In the mean time apply cortisone cream after cleaning it with Baline or equal. If it opens up on its own then apply neosporine or equal after cleaning and discontinue the use of cortisone.
