A battery, not flame, is used to power the vaporizer; the e cigarette does not produce any dangerous substances such as tar and carbon monoxide that are produced during ordinary smoking.

both types deliver nicotine (which you are addicted to) through inhaling. However e-cigarettes do not contain many of the unhealthy ingredients tobacco cigarettes contain.
Here are some key benefits of ecigs:
# No tobacco and No Tar
Electronic cigarettes do not contain tobacco, tar, real smoke nor other chemicals like traditional cigarettes.
# No Smoke and Lingering Odor
The electronic cigarette vapor dissipates quickly and has essentially no smell.
# Saves Money - Cheaper than Smoking Real Cigarettes
Electronic cigarettes can save you money: nicotine refills are cheaper than tobacco cigarettes.
NOT inhaling 4,000 known killers is the main difference.
